Details: The Fluke 709H mA Loop Calibrator is designed to save time and produce high quality results. The 709H offers HART communication and supports a selection of the HART universal and common exercise commands.
This makes the 709H unique as an affordable, compact loop calibrator and powerful HART communication tool. The Fluke 709H calibrator is built on a user-friendly interface with a quick-set rotary switch.
This tool reduces the time it takes to measure or source voltage or current and start a loop.
The protective holster fits easily in the hand of a technician and the large display with backlight is easy to read even in dark and cramped work areas.
Package dimensions: 12.1 x 10.5 x 5.8 inches
Description: The Fluke 709H Calibrator features an easy-to-use interface with a modulator controlled by a Quick-Set rotary switch. This device shortens the measurement time, allows voltage or current measurement of the loop and power supply of the loop. The protective case can be easily grasped by the technician and the large backlit display allows easy reading even in dark and cramped environments. 709H offers:
- Accuracy 0.01% of measured value - best in class
- Small size and durable construction working on 6 standard AAA batteries
- Intuitive user interface with Quick-Set dial for quick setup and ease of use
- Built-in 250 Ω switchable resistor for HART communication
- 24 V DC (DC) loop supply with mA measurement mode (-25% to 125%)
- Resolution 1 µA in the mA ranges and 1 mV in the voltage ranges
- Easy connection with two wires for all measurements
- Automatic shut-off to extend battery life (adjustable up to 30 minutes)
- Variable rise and fall times in seconds
- Adjustable range (0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA)
- Valve test (simulation defined by mA values with% keys)
- Specific HART capabilities include:
- Fast transfer of calibration data. The 709H / Track software / cable documents the parameters of all HART converters in your system in .csv or .txt format.
- Logging or recording data of a specific converter for troubleshooting. The data logger offers a selectable logging interval from 1 to 60 seconds and a logging capacity of 9,800 logs or 99 separate sessions. Each data sample contains the 709H instrument measurements, all four process variables, and standard state conditions.
In communicator mode, the user is able to read basic information about the device, perform diagnostics and calibration on most converters with HART interface support. In the past, this could only be done with a communicator designed specifically for this purpose, with a state-of-the-art multifunction calibrator, or with a laptop with a HART modem. The Fluke 709H allows almost any technician to perform maintenance and support on HART equipment.
